Who We Are:
The Illinois Sociological Association is the statewide association of and for faculty, students, and practitioners of sociology in the state of Illinois.
What We Do:
The Illinois Sociological Association fosters community among and provides support to those whose research, teaching, careers, and community engagement develops or applies the sociological perspective. Our annual conference provides opportunities for social scientists in the state and region to share the insights gained through their research, teaching, and practice. We invite faculty, students, and practitioners of sociology, criminal justice, political science, communication, social work, psychology, and other related disciplines to join us in our efforts to advance the discipline of sociology and support the professional development of social scientists in the state and region.
